WealthONE Bank of Canada Appoints John Webster as President & Chief Executive Officer

WealthONE Bank of Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of John Webster as permanent President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Webster first joined WealthONE in July 2025 as Board Chair, following the successful completion of the bank's acquisition by a consortium of Canadian investors led by Globalive Corp. In August 2025, Mr. Webster assumed the role of interim President and CEO following a leadership transition at the bank. On March 12, 2026, WealthONE confirmed his appointment as permanent President and Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Webster brings more than 37 years of experience in Canadian financial services, including senior leadership roles at Bank of Nova Scotia, Scotia Mortgage Authority, and Maple Trust Company, where he successfully navigated Maple Trust's acquisition by Scotiabank and its subsequent integration. His governance experience includes directorships at Manulife Bank of Canada, Manulife Trust Company, Cargojet Inc., and Dundee Financial Corp. He is a founding member of the Canadian Association of Accredited Mortgage Professionals (CAAMP) and a member of the Law Society of Ontario.
