Jack (Dashu) Zhu Expand/Collapse

President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Zhu is a seasoned and results-driven financial services executive both in Canada and internationally. Prior to joining Wealth One Bank of Canada, Mr. Zhu's major leadership positions include the CEO at the Nagelmackers Bank in Belgium, EVP and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Jiangsu Bank of China, President and CEO of the Bank of China (Canada) and a division head at the head office of Bank of China in Beijing. During his time as President and CEO of the Bank of China (Canada), Mr. Zhu led the Bank’s significant growth in its retail service network and credit business within the Canadian Chinese community.

Mr. Zhu holds PhD and Master’s degrees of systems engineering from Xi’an Jiaotong University; and a Bachelor degree in Geophysics from Beijing University.

David (Tao) Jiang Expand/Collapse

Vice President  & Chief Marketing and Sales Officer

Mr. Jiang is an accomplished and award winning leader with 28 years of experience in sales and marketing. He specializes in business development, market analysis, sales & distribution management and strategic planning. He has held diverse management roles in multinational corporations in Europe and China and brings comprehensive knowledge and experience in B2B and B2C marketing. In his previous roles with two Schedule 1 Canadian Banks, he has led teams and established a strong reputation for providing clients with total financial solutions in mortgage-related products. He has been the recipient of an Annual Achiever Award on two occasions for successfully leading his teams in delivering exceptional sales results.

Mr. Jiang is also a former Roster Consultant for the Business Development Bank of Canada. He holds an MBA (Marketing) from University of Leicester in the United Kingdom.

John Guido Expand/Collapse

Vice President, Operations

Mr. Guido is a results-driven leader with over 25 years of experience and a record of significant achievement in Operational Management, Financial Administration, Customer Service and Human Resource Management, primarily within the insurance and leasing sectors. An individual who has led and directed multiple teams tasked with complex key strategic corporate initiatives to integrate and manage acquisitions and wind-down joint venture concerns worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Among his prior leadership roles, Mr. Guido was Senior Vice President Canadian Operations at CIT Group Ltd.

Mr. Guido holds a Bachelor of Arts – Commerce and Criminology from the University of Toronto.

Paul Akey Expand/Collapse

Vice President, Credit and Risk Management

Mr. Akey is a financial services executive with 20 years of credit and risk management experience. His leadership roles have included a number of senior positions at Scotiabank in Risk Management, Sales and Services, and Finance, with a proven record of growing mortgages, credit cards and indirect automotive lending products. Acknowledged as an expert in risk management for consumer and small business lending as well as infusing analytics across acquisition, account management and recoveries.

Mr. Akey holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Guelph and an MBA from Dalhousie. He is active in his community and serves on several advisory boards and is frequently invited to participate in industry roundtables and discussions.

William (Bill) McNeill Expand/Collapse

Vice President, Legal, Corporate Secretary, Chief Compliance Officer, Chief Anti-Money Laundering Officer and Ombudsman

Mr. McNeill is a business counsel with experience as a member of a wealth management business team at BMO Nesbitt Burns (focus on regulatory compliance), as general counsel at Richardson Greenshields and as a law firm corporate/commercial/securities partner at Borden & Elliot (now Borden Ladner Gervais). He has consulted to the financial services industry and has taught Canadian business law in the Business School at Humber College. Mr. McNeill takes a common sense and proactive approach to regulatory compliance and governance, risk management and training and development. He supports business growth while protecting the interests of a firm and its clients and employees.

Mr. McNeill holds a BA and a LLB from Queen’s University and a LLM from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University. He is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada.
